German Classes

                    The eleven-month intensive German course finally came to an end today. We were in a small classroom with a gentle breeze coming in through the window. The teacher asked us to describe romantic paintings in German.

Die Dunkelkammer

Continuing with the darkroom class at the Volkshochschule. The Spanish class next door is still going on loudly. There are only five of us in the darkroom, which gives us a lot of freedom to develop our negatives. I still haven’t mastered putting the film in the canister.  

Die Farbe

The strawberries from your parents’ garden at the end of April.The peppers and tomatoes from our balcony in July.

Der Schrebergarten

In the small coastal town where your parents now live, near the lagoon, there are the garden colonies. I have not yet seen the flowers bloom and the fruit bear in the summer, but I know that the gardens are quiet in the snowy winter.

New place
